Drinking
coffee is already a part of daily habit for many people. Nevertheless, there
are also not few of people who do not like coffee or even hate coffee.
Actually, there have been studies done by experts, proving that drinking coffee
brings many benefits to human life. These are seven benefits of coffee that have been found by the researchers:
1. Drinking coffee reduces pain.
A study done by Victor Maridakis which is published in The Journal of Pain on December 12, 2006 proves that two cups of brewed coffee can produce large induction in pain up to 48%.
2. Drinking coffee daily reduces the risk of getting liver cancer.
Researchers at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center found that those that consume 1-3 cups of coffee a day have a 29% reduced risk of developing liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma [HCC]).
3. Drinking coffee daily reduces the risk of getting skin cancer.
Based on the study published by American Association of Cancer Research on October 2014, those who consumed ≥4 cups/day had a 20% reduction in the risk of melanoma (a kind of skin cancer) compared to those who consumed no coffee.
4. Drinking coffee prevents retinal damage.
A study done by Korean researchers which is published in The Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry on December 2, 2013 proves that coffee and its major component, CGA (chlorogenic acid), significantly reduce apoptosis of retinal cells and that coffee consumption may help in preventing retinal degeneration.
5. Drinking coffee reduces the risk of mortality after having a heart attack.
Based on a study done by Oliver Brown and friends which was published on November 2016, coffee drinkers have less risk of mortality after having a heart attack than those who are noncoffee drinkers.
6. Drinking coffee increases your dietary fiber intake.
A study in The Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry which was published on February 13, 2007 showed that brewed coffee contained a significantly higher amount of soluble dietary fiber (0.47−0.75 g/100 mL of coffee) than other common beverages.

Those studies have proven that drinking coffee is really beneficial to our life. It is not too late to start drinking
coffee to get those benefits!
