Enjoy your night in Taman Pelangi Jogjakarta

Hello, happy holidays! If you are traveller or backpacker who hang out with limit budget Jogjakarta must be very familiar for you. Who don’t knows a beautiful city with many tourist destination and the most important thing is, cheap.

In Jogjakarta, many tourist destinations with cheap entrance compare with another big city in Indonesia. The foods in Jogjakarta are cheap and really delicious. Have you gone to Jogjakarta? You must be familiar with Malioboro, Keraton, Taman Sari, or it’s Gudeg. But Jogja also have many museum and unique places you have to try, one of them is Taman Pelangi.

Did you know what Taman Pelangi is? Is it a place to see stars? Or is it a place for the foot of Pelangi (Rainbow)? The answer is wrong. Taman Pelangi actually is a Museum or Monument but when the night come this place become a “rainbow” because of the light that places in various thing. There are trees, animals, famous buildings and of course lampions.

Monument Jogja Kembali or Monjali is the place where Taman Pelangi is. It is around 10 minutes from Tugu Jogja. It’s not too far but Jogja is a big city so the road is very busy. You can take Transjogja to go to Monjali and it only cost 3500 rupiah. For your information, Transjogja didn’t need extra cash when you move to the next bus so it is only 3500 rupiah to go around Jogja. Taman Pelangi only opens when an event is held but since 2011 Taman Pelangi is open every night.

You can take a beautiful picture because the background is amazing. There are many rides you can try such as pedal car, an open car that decorated with many light and a pedal to move the car. Pedal boat, a boat use a pedal to move it, and there are many more. Sometimes they show a live music around 3 times a month. There you can also try “Puri Hantu” that is a haunted house.

The ticket to enjoy the night in Taman Pelangi is quite expensive. In weekdays it is 15000 rupiah and when it is weekend it is 20000 rupiah. But it is worth it because the thing you get and the facilities are very good.


So, if you are a photogenic or a backpacker who travel with limit budget, don’t forget to come to Jogja and go to Taman Pelangi.
