Be a Smart Student; Against the hoax news


There are so many hoax news in the society nowadays. Technology have a positive and negative aspect in the same time. People are getting easier to interact with others freed from space and time. Unfortunately, because everyone can write and share the information they make. There are some people make hoax issues and spread them for their own benefit.

 As a smart student, we should not be victims of hoax news that spread across in the society. Here are some ways to avoid the hoax news:

1.      Do not trust the broadcast message immediately
Broadcast message is one of way to spread the hoax news. The process of this method is spreading the messages from one user to the others. Usually many people believe in the news and share it to their friends.
The contents of the message is also usually packed as a news that comes from a media that has been known, but it is not. The same is true of messages that include photo proof and screen capture.
If you get a broadcast message, do not get carried away emotionally and believe in the news. Keep calm and think logically.

2.      Check the URL
After that, try checking the URL or website address of the site. A lot of hoax news is a news spread model using the name of a well-known media company. They also make the format of the news looks like the original one. To find out the truth by paying attention to its URL, we will  know that the site address of the news is correct or not.

3.      Confirm the truth
If you have checked the truth of the information read. You may share the news that is obtained if it is in accordance with the truth or you can come to provide the correct information if the news is only hoax.
But it would be better if you can choose what kind of the news that you want to share. Sometimes the news have special purpose, it tells some bad issues about someone or inappropriate topics.
