Got7 “7 For 7” Album Review


Got7 is one of my favourite boybands. Before I give review about their album, I will introduce them shortly first. Got7 is a South Korean boyband under label called JYP Entertainment. They debuted on January 20th, 2014 with its debut album titled 'Got it? '. Got7 has 7 members which 4 members are Korean (Jaebum / JB, Jinyoung, Youngjae, Yugyeom), 1 comes from United States (Mark), 1 comes from Hongkong (Jackson), the other one comes from Thailand (BamBam). After 8 months from their last successful comeback titled “Flight Log : Arrival” on March 13rd, 2017, Got7 had a comeback with the new album titled “7 for 7”.

Got7 released the 7th mini album titled 7 For 7 on October 10, 2017. “7 For 7” is a special album for them because all the members write the lyrics, especially the title track 'You Are' is written by the leader, JB.

The “7 For 7” mini-album reached top spot on the iTunes album sales chart in 17 countries. Some of them are Brazil, Finland, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Mexico. Remarkably, "7 For 7" beat the album names of some world musicians such as Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus and others. Thus, the achievement shows the popularity of GOT7 in the world.

Meanwhile, one of the singles on the mini album, "You Are", also managed to become a champion in the Chinese music chart, KUGOU. KUGOU is one of the biggest music sites in the country. "You Are" placed on top 3 Korean music chart which are Genie, Naver and Mnet. Got7 also gets 2nd rank music chart in United States, Indonesia, Argentina, etc.

The physical album sales success to break their own record with more than 64 thousand copies in the first day where the previous album “Flight Log: Arrival” is sold 40 thousand copies. Pre-order sales are also reported to reach 220 thousand albums.

This is the first album I have bought. I will give you a review about the album.

“7 For 7” album has 2 versions, Magic Hour Version and Golden Hour Version. The album itself consists of photobook, CD-R, poster, 3 types of photocard, to me lyrics book, and special postcard book for pre-order benefit. Here is the picture :

That is my review about Got7 "7For7" album. Got7 released the lastest "7For7" Special Edition on December, 2017. Got7 is also preparing for their 4th fanmeeting on February, 2018.
