KEBUN TEH


One of the attractions in Yogyakarta, Kebun Teh is a nature tourism tea garden. Kebun Teh located in Nglinggo, Pagerharjo, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. This tourism is a tea plantation in Nginggo Village. In accordance with the name of the village, this located on the top of Menoreh hills. Visitors who came in this tea garden can enjoy the natural beauty of the rolling hills of the mountain.They can see the farmers plucking tea leaves when fall arrives. In the area of the tea garden has already provided a place to relax. You can enjoy nature with the family, friends or a girlfriend. For the weekend, these attractions will be crowded by visitors. Vacation in Kebun Teh is suitable for reducing your fatigue after work in the city.


 

For the visitor who wants to challenge their adrenaline, they can go to Gunung Kukusan in Kebun Teh area. This mountain looks so beautiful because visitors can see the beauty of the eight mountains in Java like Merapi, Merbabu, Telomoyo, Andong, Ungaran, Sumbing, Prau, and Sindoro. The mountain has two peaks which had the name Dempok Peak and Kendeng Peak. Tourists will find two paths. The right road headed to Kendeng Peak and left Road headed to Dempok Peak
This is the route to get Kebun Teh and Gunung Kukusan
From Yogyakarta = Take Godean street, then straight to west through Progo River. After you find Kenteng traffic light, then turn right. Follow the road until you find a little monument in the middle of the road. Then turn left to Samigaluh Street, just follow the road, it’s about 15-20 kilometer and you will pass the Samigaluh Police Station and Samigaluh Traditional market.You will find T-junction with Gate of Nglingo Village, turn right then follow the road. Straight up about 2 km you will reach the top tea garden.

From Magelang = You should follow Kalibawang street and you will find Ndekso traffic light with a little monument in the middle of the road. Then turn left onto Samigaluh Street, just follow the road, it’s about 15-20 kilometer and you will pass the Samigaluh Police Station and Samigaluh Traditional market. You will find T-junction with Gate of Nglingo Village, turn right then follow the road. Straight up about 2 km you will reach the top tea garden.


Administration Costs:
Price of the ticket is only 3000 Rupiahs.

Travel Tips:
You should check the vehicle because the route to Kebun Teh and Gunung Kukusan is rocky and wavy. For motorcycle with less than 125 cc, you should not carry a heavy load, because it is not strong enough to get Kebun Teh area
