Kaliurang Light Festival “The Frozen”
Jogjakarta always holds an interesting and extraordinary event during Christmas and New Year's holiday which coincides with the holidays. After the success of the previous Festival of Light Kaliurang event, this time a similar festival is coming back but with a different concept. If the previous event coincides with Ramadan and Eid holiday with the theme "The Sparkles of Ramadhan". But this time to enliven the end of the year, organizers of Kaliurang Light Festival chose the theme "The Frozen". Are you curious about this exciting event? Here you will feel the sensation of snow in tropical countries like in indonesia this. In addition here also in providing Ice Skate rink and a few rides like Snow Ghost, Bunny Park, lanterns, and various types of cuisine.
The location is located in Pusan Kaliurang and opened to the public on December 1, 2017 until January 7, 2018. Kaliurang Light Festival is open every day with the operational hours starting at 10 am and closed at 10 pm while for the national holiday and weekend will close at 11 pm.
The price of admission depends on the day and hours of visiting.
For the weekday at 10:00 to 17:00 the cost of Rp 25.000 while at 17:00 to 22:00 costs Rp 30,000
For the weekend at 10:00 to 17:00 costs Rp 35,000 while at 17:00 to 23:00 the cost of Rp 40,000.
For Ice Skating was opened in the afternoon at a rate of Rp 30,000 for an hour sliding in the arena of Syntetic Ice skating. The lamps of the lanterns are lighted around 16.30. With the theme of frozen, the sensation of cold can be felt by visitors. There is a hallway decorated like ice caves and cold temperatures. This alley is connected to a garden lit by the light of lanterns in various shapes. If tired of touring visitors can relax and enjoy the culinary variety which is sold as wedang ronde, the rabbit satay ,chicken noodles, meatballs, pecel, burgers, and more.
